Prospective DAR Members

​Any woman 18 years or older may join the DAR by documenting her lineage to an ancestor who aided the cause of American independence through military, civil service, or patriotic service.

New to genealogy? Don't worry, we can help you with the documentation and application process.

​

Please use the pedigree chart (PDF) as completely as you can and bring it with you to either a chapter meeting or when meeting our chapter representative.

​

We can help you by providing guidance and assistance to further research your family so that you may submit your lineage to the NSDAR  for membership. 

​

To assist in your research, the NSDAR Ancestor Search database lists ancestors, which is continually updated, on whom active members of the National Society have joined.
